About Us

Jane Churchill’s interior design work has made her a household name both at home and abroad. Unlike many interior designers who work from a specific style, Jane combines classic and contemporary elements so that each project is unique and personal to the client. Each design project is treated completely individually; Jane and her team believe in working closely with their clients in order to meet every requirement and creating a comfortable home is the most important aspect of their work. The business offers a complete interior design service and this is essentially limitless- including liaising with architects, builders and specialist companies; creating colour schemes and organising furniture and electrics; supplying curtains, carpets, upholstery and joinery and sourcing antiques, lighting and decorative/household items as well as picture hanging, house moving and final installation. Jane Churchill Interiors is a limited company, of which Jane is the sole shareholder and overall Director. The business is located at 81 Pimlico Road, London where it has been based since 1975.

Jane Churchill

Jane is internationally renowned for both her classically elegant interiors and her contemporary flair. Throughout her career, Jane has completed a huge range of projects and her expertise has been called upon to work with everything from London townhouses, country homes, restaurants, a box at Ascot racecourse and even the interior of a Rolls Royce! Jane’s vast portfolio also includes countless oversees projects; the USA, Australia, the Caribbean and China have all played host to Jane and her team. With a 48-programme television series under her belt and books published on both sides of the Atlantic, Jane has made a name for herself as one of the world’s go-to interior designers. Her design motto? Rules are made to be broken...where appropriate.



Sylvia Deakin

Sylvia began her career as an interior designer in 1979. Two years later she joined Colefax & Fowler where she managed the North Room at Brook Street and in 1986, moved to join Jane Churchill’s design team. Over the last 25 years, Sylvia has been responsible for a huge range of projects, from several London residences (including apartments at Kensington Palace) and country houses to a private bank in Geneva and a chateau in Bordeaux. Many of Sylvia’s design projects have formed close friendships and so she enjoys repeat work with many of her clients. Her biggest claim to fame is owning a bobbly cardigan that inspired a pair of bobbled curtains in Jane’s old home.



Amanda Bishop

Amanda won the Young Designer of the Year Award from The Inchbald School of Design in 1986 and enjoyed a hugely successful career working for the Royal Family in Brunei, where she lived for five years designing homes in Southeast Asia and California. She joined Jane Churchill upon her return in 1999 and since then has continued to work on international luxury residences in Russia, Qatar, France, Switzerland, Portugal and the U.S. Amanda’s favourite colour is blue and the Jane Churchill team call her Aquamanda (her favourite shade) as not only does she wear it a lot but she also incorporates it into a lot of her schemes.



Selina Buxton

Selina is the newest addition to the Jane Churchill Interiors team and brings in a wealth of experience from previous interior design jobs. Having studied both Interior Design and Architecture, Selina started her career at Laura Ashley working on quick turnover residential projects before working on high-end classic interiors for flats, town houses and country homes. Over the last few years Selina has worked on a wide variety of projects including presidential hotel suites in Saudi Arabia and large residential properties in Central London. Selina's love for classic design extends to her favourite mode of transport, her bicycle. Built in the '20s, it doesn't get her anywhere fast but it does get her there in style. Or so she thinks!



Letty White-Spunner

Letty arrived at Jane Churchill quite by accident after freelancing for several businesses on the Pimlico Road. She now handles the company’s press and PR and has written for Country Life, The Resident, House & Garden and Sheerluxe amongst others. Letty now writes a monthly column for the luxury lifestyle website, Beyond Bespoke and has recently designed two charity rickshaws with Jane, as well as a fleet of bespoke helicopters. Talking of travel, although she has by far the shortest commute (living opposite the office)…she’s always the last in!



Serena Brockbank

Serena has worked in interior design since the 70s for such names as George Spencer, Elizabeth Eaton and Colefax & Fowler. She initially worked for Jane for six years in the 80s before leaving to further her love of art and antiques at Christies, where she was for eleven years. Once her son was old enough, she returned to interior design, and to Jane. Unfortunately, she is often accompanied by her two terrier assistants, Maisie and Daphne who love to sit and pose in the front window.
